Please just call us. We are usually here tinkering away. You'd be surprized how obsessive bicycle lifestyling can be. (well maybe you aren't surprized.) Any way someone is usually here. Give us a call at 503-734-8831 .

A lot of people ask just what is a Bike Swap?
I came up with a good (overkill!) definition through compilation of several defintions:
'Swap Meet' Noun:
'An informal gathering, meeting, fair, or bazaar, for the barter or
sale of new or used articles, artifacts, collectables, or handicrafts.'
A Bike
Swap is an organized sale of used bikes and equipment.
You can sell your used equipment or shop for a great
deal on a used bike.

Our bicycles have all had previous homes before coming to live at the Recyclery. We buy bikes and get them dontated also. Some are trade-ins . Some bikes are found off the beaten track at thrift and second hand shops. Others are bought from garage/ estate/ porch/ yard/ junk/ lawn sales. The BEST bikes are just given to us by folks who no longer use them.
All of the bikes we sell go through a 30 day Portland Police screening. We will not sell a bike till after we are sure it is OK to sell it.
